Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is part of a team responsible for ensuring the quality of produce received from suppliers and boxes produced in our facility.

You will work closely with the wider team, carefully checking goods in/out, monitoring temperatures, and taking samples. Your role involves maintaining standards by verifying test results and audits comply with food safety regulations and requirements.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Inspect raw materials throughout the process, from incoming goods to stock reconciliation after production
  • Conduct pre-op checks according to quality standards
  • Identify and report any non-conformances according to our DC quality standards
  • Isolate non-conforming items, both physically and in the system
  • Trigger and follow up actions for items on hold according to processes in place
  • Liaise with warehouse management to ensure proper material flows through each production step
  • Adhere to all OH&S requirements
  • Liaise with your Manager to prevent risk of depletion due to non-conformance
  • Liaise with operations to ensure a smooth and Food Safe production
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations
Your Profile:
  • Prior experience working in a quality role (6 months) or education related to Quality and Food Safety
  • Good understanding of Food Safety requirements
  • Familiarity with the food industry
  • Practical knowledge and experience in an operational environment
  • Desirable: experience in a food production environment; ability to work weekends and early mornings; willingness to travel for training if needed
