Cafe Operations Leader

We are seeking an experienced cafe operations leader to manage our team in Sydney. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will be responsible for motivating staff, managing inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to lead our front-of-house and kitchen teams. Your expertise in ordering, stock management, and rostering will be instrumental in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

  • Ordering and stock management: Ensure timely and accurate ordering of supplies and manage inventory levels to minimize waste.
  • Staff training and development: Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to improve their skills and performance.
  • Hygiene and safety protocols: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the premises.
  • Rostering and scheduling: Develop efficient rosters to meet business needs while ensuring fair work-life balance for staff.
  • Effective communication: Foster strong relationships between front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Customer service: Deliver top-notch customer service by providing a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Register operations and coffee preparation: Manage register operations and prepare high-quality coffee beverages.
  • Food presentation and table service: Present food attractively and provide excellent table service.
  • Maintaining clean and tidy areas: Ensure all areas of the cafe are clean and tidy at all times.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous hospitality experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership skills: Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A can-do attitude and strong work ethic: A positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Barista experience: At least 2 years' experience as a barista.
