Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company, operates across Australia and New Zealand, serving clients who own and operate critical community assets.

This role is part of our National Clothing Store Services partnership with the Australian Defence Force. We seek an experienced Uniform and Clothing Attendant to join our team at Simpson Barracks in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will report to the Site Leader and be part of our dynamic Clothing Store team, working alongside customer service, stores, and tailoring professionals to support Ventia's Defence National Clothing Store Services contract.

This permanent, full-time position requires 38 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday. The hourly pay rate is $27.75, plus superannuation benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle uniform sales
  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders
  • Assist customers with clothing item measurements and fittings
  • Support sewing duties, including ranks, insignia, and badge creation
  • Contribute to sewing tasks like hemming, alterations, and medal mounting
  • Operate computer systems to manage tasks efficiently

The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer-facing roles and basic sewing skills. Additional training will be provided where necessary. The ability to maintain a Defence clearance and pass an Australian Federal Police Check is essential.
