Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clothing Store Assistant to join our team at Simpson Barracks. As a key member of our Clothing Store Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting with uniform sales, record-keeping, and tailoring duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and over-the-counter sales/support
  • Record customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with measuring and fitting customers for clothing items
  • Perform sewing duties, including hemming, alterations, and medal mounting
  • Operate computer systems effectively
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a customer service environment
  • Basic sewing experience is preferred
  • Any tailoring, hand-stitching, or sewing experience is desirable
  • Ability to use standard or heavy-duty sewing machines
  • Effective computing skills and service systems
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management

Important Details:

Please note that this role requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Defence clearance, as well as passing an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
