Trainer Assessor
Job Description:This role is for a skilled and compassionate Trainer Assessor who will work with young people to help them develop the skills and capacity to live healthy and independent lives.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality training programs, including classroom-based and supervision of students' work placement.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a casual position based in Wyong, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Labour Market Assistance Award Level 2.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide services and support to young people in a way that is aligned to The Salvation Army's mission & values and the National Model of Care for Youth Services.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement quality initiatives.
- Plan, design and schedule vocational training courses.
- Source and contextualise training materials to meet the learner needs, ensuring they are engaging and meet current industry requirements.
- Provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Record all client data, interactions, and assessments.
- Participate in recruitment and enrollment of students.
- Mark submitted assessments within the required time frame, providing meaningful feedback to the learner.
- Rlevant Community Service qualifications.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- A current paid NSW Employee Working With Children Check.
- Demonstrated experience in the field of vocational education and training and community services industry in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering training to diverse participant groups, face to face, online and by distance.
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn database programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication, listening and networking skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
- Compassion and professionalism in all actions and ethics.
- Energy, flexibility, initiative and integrity with a positive and friendly attitude.
