Media and Communications Coordinator

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is seeking a highly skilled Media and Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in shaping our media and communications strategy, ensuring that our message is effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement media and communications plans to support business objectives
  • Manage media relationships and coordinate media activities across all departments
  • Develop and maintain a media database and ensure up-to-date media monitoring
  • Coordinate and manage media for all SLSA events
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with states and other external stakeholders
Internal Content & Communications:
  • Develop written content for media, website, social, and other channels
  • Assist with the coordination and development of SLSA publications and marketing materials
  • Provide relevant content to the Club's internal content schedule
External Stakeholders:
  • Develop and maintain positive proactive media relationships
  • Develop and maintain positive proactive working relationships with the states
