Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced fabricator to join our team of professionals in crafting exceptional off-road vehicles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, marking out, and fabricating steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components required for our expedition motorhomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Studying drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
  • Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools
  • Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
  • Examining welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
  • Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, and filing
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling, grinding, and sanding

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Fabrication Trade (mandatory)
  • At least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, with proven skills in welding, cutting, and assembly
  • Experience with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) and familiarity with metal cutting and shaping equipment
