About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coffee Team Lead to oversee daily operations and lead our team at Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a team of baristas and front-of-house staff, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of service.
  • Work alongside the full-time store manager to ensure operational success and maintain alignment with business goals and standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining consistency, and sharing expertise to ensure the best possible product for our customers.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that mirrors the friendly, community-focused vibe of our Armadale location.
  • Ensure timely and accurate stock control and inventory management, including ordering and receiving deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Be responsible for opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, and the store is secure at the end of the day.
  • Provide guidance and training to baristas and front-of-house staff, helping them develop their skills and ensuring excellent performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring adherence to food safety and workplace hygiene standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a barista, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, machine operation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Previous experience with stock management, cash handling, and shift supervision is a plus.
  • A passion for creating community connections and fostering a positive team culture.
