Exciting opportunity to lead and nurture a medium-sized team, improving processes, having exposure to an upcoming system implementation/upgrade, BAU and managing the delivery of the payroll function.

This role will see you leading a team, all whilst improving processes, having exposure to an upcoming system implementation/upgrade, BAU and managing the delivery of the payroll function.

Your duties will include;

  • Lead, nurture, and mentor members of the team
  • Regularly conduct data audits and identify areas of improvement
  • Ensure governance and compliance practices are controlled and minimised
  • Oversee the compliance of all payroll services with all relevant enterprise agreement, award provisions, taxation, superannuation, financial and accounting standards and other relevant legislative requirements
  • Undertake and conduct projects as they come available
  • Maintaining the highest degree of quality with regards to policies and procedures
  • Ensure the overall delivery of the payroll function

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong people management experience
  • Large scale payroll experience within a time in attendance environment
  • Proven experience within payroll projects/implementation is desirable
  • Strong proven ability to manage and lead a medium size team
  • Outstanding communication skills between colleagues and third parties
  • Experience within a high volume processing environment is desirable
  • Strong understanding of complex EBA's and Awards, within a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage
