About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Institutions Analyst to join our team in Sydney.

Job Overview

In this key role, you will be responsible for supporting the origination and execution of investment banking business with a strong focus on Financial Institutions Group. This includes contributing to day-to-day M&A execution processes, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and industry analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Origination and Execution: Support the origination and execution of investment banking business with a strong focus on Financial Institutions Group.
  • Deal Team Member: Contribute to day-to-day M&A execution processes, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and industry analysis.
  • Presentation and Analysis: Prepare high-quality marketing presentations and industry analysis.
  • Clients and Markets: Conduct due diligence on clients and markets.
  • Documentations and Approvals: Deal documentation and internal approvals.
  • Client Queries: Handle day-to-day client queries on all execution-related matters.
  • Meetings and Collaboration: Attend client meetings, including execution and pitches, and collaborate with colleagues across the business.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Corporate Finance Experience: At least one year of Corporate Finance experience or related professional experience.
  • Financial Modelling Skills: Strong financial modelling skills and commercial acumen are critical.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Motivated and Self-Driven: Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to take initiative with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Effective Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary with superannuation paid over and above fixed pay, starting at around $80,000 per annum. Additionally, you can expect:
