Retail Category Manager

This pivotal position entails strategic foresight and decisive execution, ensuring every initiative aligns with brand objectives, drives profitability, and elevates customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop category strategies aligned with company growth targets
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Negotiate supplier contracts for optimal terms, speed to market, promotional support, and trade spend
- Collaborate with planning and supply teams to optimise inventory levels and avoid stockouts
- Partner with marketing to create compelling category campaigns and in-store experiences
- Monitor category performance and take proactive action to achieve sales, margin, and growth targets
- Maintain consistent execution across online and in-store merchandising, including planograms and product placement
- Utilise customer and market data insights to continually refine and optimise the category
