Role Overview:

The Senior Pricing Specialist will be responsible for formulating pricing strategies that align with the company's financial objectives. This position involves the execution of comprehensive pricing analyses and adjustments to ensure competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate pricing strategies and proposals that align with budgetary goals and ensure timely implementation of price modifications across various business functions.
  • Oversee and mentor pricing analysts in executing pricing-related tasks.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of data and reports to uncover trends that foster innovation and enhance business performance.
  • Convert Profit and Loss (P&L) components into actionable pricing assumptions.
  • Offer expert guidance on model methodologies and their practical applications.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, ideally within the general insurance sector, with a focus on comprehensive solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and their underlying business drivers, including a solid grasp of insurance P&L.
  • Familiarity with Actuarial IBNR/IBNER models.
  • Proven ability to devise solutions and strategies by leveraging data to identify critical issues and establish cause-effect relationships.
  • Proficient in SAS, Excel, R, and other relevant programming tools.
