Role Summary:

A highly skilled and experienced Clinical Midwife is required to provide expert support and guidance to our Maternity Unit team.

The successful candidate will have advanced clinical competency, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This role involves providing leadership, education, and support to members of the clinical team to ensure consistent and collaborative implementation of improvement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical guidance and leadership to staff to enhance patient care
  • Supporting the development and implementation of quality and risk management strategies
  • Liaising with obstetric teams to ensure coordinated care and managing complex cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Actively contributing towards Quality, Safety, and Work, Health and Safety processes in the clinical area

About You:

  • Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
  • Post-graduate midwifery experience
  • Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of midwifery practice
  • Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to the continuous improvement of healthcare and midwifery practice, and to continuing professional development of self and others
  • An ability to work autonomously and function as a member of a diverse health service delivery team
