Payroll Manager Job Description

This role oversees end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across a high-volume environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of six payroll professionals, driving performance and continuous development through coaching and mentoring.

Key responsibilities include managing payroll systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy, collaborating with HR, IT, and Finance teams, and providing timely support for employee payroll queries.

  • Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of six payroll professionals, driving performance and continuous development.
  • Maintain and improve payroll systems, processes, and controls.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance teams.
  • Provide timely support for employee payroll queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Payroll Manager to drive process improvements and lead payroll projects in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key requirements include minimum 3 years' experience managing a payroll team in a high-volume environment, strong understanding of employment legislation and awards, proven leadership skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll, finance, human resources, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
