Job Title: Support Worker
We are dedicated to helping seniors maintain their independence and sense of community while living in their own homes. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of 'In-Home Care' services to clients, primarily elderly individuals
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, etc.
- Provide in-home support including medication assistance, meal preparation, light housework such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping
- Assist with shopping and transport clients to medical appointments
- Provide social support and community engagement to clients
- Review care plans to comprehend clients' objectives and requirements, utilise an app to keep track of crucial information, and identify any dangers to ensure clients' safety
Position & Perks:
- Casual and Part-time positions available for Home Care Support Workers in various locations throughout Canberra and surrounding suburbs.
- The job involves working independently and as part of a team, should have flexibility to work short shifts.
- You'll have the opportunity to travel to clients' homes as part of your role, so the ability to work and travel around Canberra is a must.
- A competitive hourly rate will be negotiated based on your qualifications and experience, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your work.
- In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a travel allowance for the distance travelled with clients and between clients, making sure that you are compensated for your travel expenses.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate III or higher in Community Care (Disability, Individual Support, Ageing Support)
- Flexible approach to a range of working hours between 7.00 am - 08.00 pm, Monday to Sunday
- Motor Vehicle License (Green P, Red P, Full C Class or Full International)
- Own registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
- National Criminal Check - no older than 12 months (or be willing to obtain)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card
- Evidence of current Flu Vaccination (essential)
- Evidence of Covid Vaccination (essential)
