Aboriginal Community Legal Advocate

The position involves working with Aboriginal communities in the Northern Rivers region, focusing on outreach services that meet clients face-to-face. Housing, consumer law, employment, discrimination, immigration, social security, mental health, and human rights are areas of concern for this role.

This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team that comprises Solicitors, Social Workers, Financial Counsellors, and a Community Engagement Manager and Elder in Residence. The successful candidate will be committed to cultural safety and awareness. This role requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Aboriginal communities and a commitment to addressing these issues through effective legal support.
