Job Title: Database Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of our database systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, including experience with Oracle DB, Java, SQL, and Workbrain schema. You will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining system enhancements and modifications of the Workbrain solution
  • Analysing business requirements and system specifications, and providing expertise to staff and management to ensure specifications are aligned to business requirements
  • Analysing and solving system problems related to Workbrain, and providing innovative solutions to business requirements in the delivery of customer support and completion of project work in required timeframes
  • Undertaking quality assurance processes to ensure integrity and compliance status of the system

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following key competencies:

  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving skills with a strong focus on meeting outcomes and delivering a quality client service
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an effective team member who strives to build and sustain positive and effective relationships with team members, other teams, and stakeholders through the implementation of team goals, strategies, and work plans
  • Demonstrated ability to act professionally at all times and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement security solutions whilst complying with legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships by negotiating client needs and ensuring proposed solutions are properly understood and resolved
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle DB (Database), Java, SQL, and Workbrain schema
