About the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Role

At our organisation, we create strong and caring communities and place people at the centre of all we do.

We are seeking a Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer who will drive engagement and participation of residents into social, recreational and cultural activities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and organising recreational activity programs that cater to individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences.

">This includes ensuring that each program is tailored to meet the unique requirements of our residents.In this role, you will work closely with residents, their families and other care team members to deliver high-quality programs that promote social interaction, well-being and a sense of community.">

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recreational activity programs that promote resident engagement and participation.">
  • Collaborate with care team members to ensure that each program meets the individual needs of residents.">
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, their families and other stakeholders.">
  • Maintain accurate records of program attendance, participant feedback and other relevant data.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent.

">

Previous experience working in an aged care setting is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

">

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.

Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.
