Senior Tax Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced tax lawyer to join our Sydney office as a Practice Leader for a 12 month parental leave cover.

About the Role

In this position, you can expect to provide tax law expertise to numerous small and medium sized businesses. As a Practice Leader, you will also oversee a small team of talented lawyers, fostering their growth within the firm.

Main Responsibilities
  • Initial business structuring advice on tax laws
  • Restructuring/rollover relief guidance
  • Business exit planning advice including small business CGT concessions
  • ESS/ESOP design and eligibility advice
  • ATO/OSR objections and appeals support
  • Drafting ATO/OSR private ruling applications
  • Tailored trust deed drafting services
  • Advising on investment raises with our capital raising team
  • Providing guidance on exits and strategic partnerships with our M&A team
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in training and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting their professional development within the firm.
