**Job Opportunity: Cyber Security Analyst**

As a leading local government in Western Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the City's information assets and critical systems, reviewing and monitoring systems and networks to ensure security services and controls are operational and configured for optimal outcomes. You will also coordinate the City's cyber security testing programs and awareness training.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Information Technology professional who is inquisitive, methodical in approaching problem-solving, and enthusiastic about cyber security. You will possess exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build effective relationships and deliver high-quality results
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Information Security principles, best practice standards and guidelines
- Identify and manage IT risks and security vulnerabilities through risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats and technologies
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement effective cyber security solutions

**Requirements:**

- A tertiary qualification in Cyber Security or Information Technology;
- Considerable experience in identifying and managing IT risks and security vulnerabilities;
- Strong understanding of Information Security principles and best practices;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment;

**What We Offer:**

- A gross salary from $97,537 to $103,141 per annum (dependent on skills and experience);
- 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%;
