Regulatory Expert for Energy Retail

We are seeking a seasoned Regulatory Expert to join our team in a Senior Legal Counsel role.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in energy retail regulation and compliance matters. You will be responsible for providing strategic advice and managing complex legal scenarios, supporting litigation and enforcement matters, overseeing external counsel and resource allocation, and leading legal process improvements.

  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Analyze complex legal and regulatory issues and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize operations.
About the Team

You will join a collaborative and supportive team as the primary legal contact for customer business units on retail regulatory matters. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results while upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in regulatory and compliance matters, preferably in energy retail regulation or similar consumer-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong background in legal and regulatory affairs, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and optimizing operations.
