Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated engineers to join our team across Australia. As an engineer at Svitzer, you will be responsible for performing and overseeing vessel maintenance in line with our planned maintenance schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities include supervising and supporting personnel involved in engineering tasks, operating winches and other machinery during operations, preparing maintenance and operational reports, and reporting defects promptly.

You will also ensure compliance with our policies and environmental regulations, participate in operational improvement initiatives, and guarantee that day-to-day operations comply with all relevant environmental regulations.

Requirements
  • A minimum Engineer Class 3 Certificate of Competency (or equivalent)
  • Statements of Attainment in Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001)
  • A current AMSA Medical and a valid MSIC
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to foster strong working relationships
  • Effective communication skills
  • A calm and clear thinker who can make good decisions under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable with technology, including basic computer skills
