**The Observability Team**

The Observability team is dedicated to providing comprehensive insights into the health, performance, and behavior of critical systems and applications.

  • Empower engineering teams across the organisation with robust monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities.
  • Enable teams to proactively identify issues, troubleshoot efficiently, and ensure a seamless experience for users.
**Key Responsibilities**
  • Lead and manage a team of Observability engineers within Platform Engineering.
  • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for Observability across Nine, covering logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Observability platforms and tools.
**People Leader Responsibilities**
  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
**Qualifications**
  • Proven experience in software engineering management, leading teams focused on observability, SRE, or platform engineering.
  • Strong technical background in observability principles, tools, and best practices.
