Platform Engineer

A results-driven Observability leader is sought to spearhead the strategic direction and growth of Nine's observability capabilities. As part of the Platform Engineering team, this individual will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the company's observability roadmap, ensuring seamless user experiences through robust monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.
Responsibilities include leading a team of observability engineers, collaborating with engineering managers and product teams to integrate observability into the software development lifecycle, staying current with industry trends, evaluating new tools and solutions, and contributing to the overall architecture and design of Nine's platform infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you'll require proven experience in software engineering management, a strong technical background in observability principles and tools, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience building and managing distributed systems and cloud-native applications is also highly desirable. Additionally, you should be adept at agile development methodologies and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
