Dog Food Production Specialist

The Meat Processor will work within a small team at our new dog food processing facility.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operating meat processing machinery such as bandsaws, slicers, dryers and cleaning equipment
  • Moving carcasses from the freezer to the cool room
  • Setting up machines and making adjustments for various products
  • Trimming and slicing meat to size, loading on trolleys and putting into dryers
  • Unloading dehydrated products from the dryers and putting in tubs for packing
  • Inspecting all finished products and reporting quality issues to the supervisor
  • Washing and sanitizing processing equipment and work area
  • Working with the supervisor to continuously improve site procedures

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in a fast-paced food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a meat production role
  • Proficient machine operation skills (slicers, bandsaws, dryers and wash stations) or willingness to learn
  • Practical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and quality standards
  • Certificate II or above in Meat Processing or relevant qualification is highly regarded
