Indigenous Banking Specialist

The Indigenous Banking Specialist role involves delivering exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with Indigenous customers and communities.

  • Delivering outstanding customer experience through phone and in-person interactions.
  • Providing expert knowledge on banking products and services to meet the needs of our Indigenous customers.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service gaps and collaborating with stakeholders to address them.
  • Developing and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Building trust and rapport with customers, handling their enquiries from start to finish.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer engagement and community development.
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Strong customer service skills with attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility and work-life balance. You must reside within an hour commute of our Broome Branch.

Our Indigenous Customer Assistance Line (ICAL) team provides a dedicated service for remote Indigenous customers. As an Indigenous Banking Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Indigenous Australians by providing tailored banking solutions and support.

As a passionate advocate for Indigenous communities, you will bring your knowledge and understanding of Australian Indigenous cultures and issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People to this role. Your expertise will be valued and applied to drive positive change and growth.
