We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant to join our client's team in a government agency. The role involves providing support to a Partner and their team in a fast-paced environment, handling various matters including Immigration, Disability, Child Support, and Freedom of Information.

Duties:

  • Providing administrative support to a Commonwealth Government department
  • Managing files, drafting, and amending documents
  • Recording court orders and information in the litigation management system
  • Filing court documents on the Commonwealth Courts Portal
  • Conducting research tasks when required
  • Billing and financial management

Requirements:

  • Experience as a legal secretary or assistant in a similar role
  • Strong time management and initiative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
