Salary

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including equity pursuant to the Group's ESS, with an estimated annual salary range of $120,000 to $180,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Litigation Lawyer - Corporate Governance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our Sydney Litigation team. You'll work closely with our National Head of Litigation, Brit Ibanez, and collaborate with senior lawyers and colleagues to develop and execute innovative solutions for our clients. Your expertise will be sought after in areas such as:

  • Providing comprehensive advice to officers and boards on corporate governance matters
  • Advising on insolvency and restructuring matters, including litigation related to insolvent entities
  • Defending investigations and prosecutions brought by ASIC against companies and individuals
  • Resolving shareholder oppression actions and disputed contract rights
  • Advising responsible entities and trustees on scheme operation and management
  • Acting for parties in joint venture, partnership, and M&A disputes
  • Financial services disputes and complaints

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 2 years' legal experience post-admission
  • Litigation experience, preferably in a commercial litigation team
  • A genuine passion for disputes matters and a desire to develop your skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team
  • An entrepreneurial and innovative mindset
