About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team at GHD. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of environmental approvals across the region on multi-disciplinary and diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, and participate in preliminary, targeted and detailed site investigations, remedial action plans, and validation reports.
  • Plan and manage field works, including supervision, and engagement with regulators, contractors, and clients.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects, and develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in long-term projects involving placements within a client's operations to support policy, strategy and/or operational delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within GHD regionally and nationally.
Requirements
  • Commitment to excellence in environmental consulting.
  • Relentless curiosity and a desire to help create a more sustainable future.
  • Strong experience in environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment and management with a focus on Australian jurisdictions.
  • Project management and delivery skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
