Accounting Assistant Role

We seek a skilled Accounting Assistant to work part-time, providing bookkeeping services for various clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with diverse industries and client bases.
  • Utilize add-ons such as Dext, Hubdoc, and Point of Sale systems.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks.
  • Prepare BAS & IAS reports and liaise with the team and clients.
  • Assist in month end and year end processing, reconciliations, and data entry of required journals.
  • Support the preparation of financial information/reports for Accountants on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Reside in Australia and hold full work rights.
  • Excellent XERO knowledge is essential.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or higher qualification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Able to learn new systems and procedures quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual.
  • Experience working in bookkeeping or accounting firms is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of MYOB and QuickBooks is advantageous.
