Custodial Mental Health Specialist

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the mental health, wellbeing and rehabilitation of adults in custody. Key responsibilities include conducting independent risk assessments, providing psychoeducation and delivering brief interventions.
Maintaining knowledge of psychopathology and clinical assessment tools is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments or developmental disorders.
About You- Knowledge of risk assessment tools and rehabilitation strategies in correctional settings is crucial for success.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for engaging diverse client groups and stakeholders.
A bachelor's degree in Psychology or Behavioural Science is required. General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA is also necessary.
