Role Overview
Mental Health SpecialistWe are seeking a qualified mental health specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to adults in custody.
- You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options.
- You will deliver individual or group-based interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, utilising your exceptional communication skills to foster strong relationships and achieve positive outcomes.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Provide expert advice on mental health issues and support clients in achieving their goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment programs.
- Degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (or eligibility for registration).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
