Main Responsibilities
  • Design, manufacture, and maintain materials for seats, curtains, and flooring on Traveltrain and Citytrain carriages.
  • Source trimming supplies and liaise with Rollingstock and Component Services group to supply trimmed componentry.
  • Maintain trimming shop tools and equipment.
  • Broaden experience through rotations contributing to the L-Series refurbishment program or the Kuranda Scenic Railway upgrade.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail for precise cuts and neat finishes.
  • Good spatial awareness for fitting materials.
  • Willingness to learn safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to follow a roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions with a commitment to safety at all times.
