The Disability Employment Consultant role is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for individuals with a passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

This full-time position requires prior experience in supporting people with disabilities or as an Employment Consultant. You will be responsible for providing one-on-one or group support to clients, identifying their employment interests and current skills, areas of development, and developing individualised job plans and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely communication.
  • Bridge the gap between clients with disabilities and employment opportunities through research and outreach to local businesses and potential employers.
  • Facilitate fun and engaging group capacity building classes, work safety, and job search sessions to equip clients with the necessary skills and knowledge to secure employment.
  • Research industries and contact prospective businesses to gain employment opportunities and build partnerships that benefit clients.
  • Liaise and negotiate with local businesses and potential employers on behalf of our employees to ensure successful placement outcomes.
  • Ensure reports and compliance with administrative processes are followed to maintain accurate records and meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in employment services or supporting individuals with disabilities is essential.
  • Clear and effective communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a team player attitude are required to maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Great administration and report writing skills are necessary to maintain accurate records and meet regulatory requirements.
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 and above) is also required for this role.
