
Tasmania Community Liaison

We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer to build and strengthen relationships with schools, corporate groups, community organisations, and local stakeholders.
This role will play a vital part in our community fundraising efforts, promoting the work of Guide Dogs and VisAbility through events and local partnerships.
- Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with external partners.
- Promote our organisation's work through events and partnerships.
- Develop and deliver educational presentations, workshops, and information sessions targeting stakeholders across Northern Tasmania.
- Assist in growing and managing relationships that support our fundraising goals.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in fundraising and events.
- Keep records of stakeholder interactions and event outcomes to measure impact.
- Provide administrative support for community fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and event logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of community contacts, partnerships, and volunteer involvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in community engagement and/or partnership building.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
- Confident public speaking and presentation delivery.
- Results-driven with a passion for expanding our reach and community impact.
- Organised, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings for events.
