Operations Leader for Concrete Plant

We are seeking a skilled Operations Leader to join our dynamic team at Central Premixed Concrete.

This key role involves leading the operations and logistics team, fostering a culture of quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As an Operations Leader, you will play a critical role in delivering improvements that drive growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a supervisor in the construction materials industry, with licenses for forklift and Front-End Loader operation. Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage phone orders from customers efficiently
  • Schedule and allocate jobs to maximise productivity
  • Provide supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers and company Lorry Owner Drivers
  • Coordinate plant maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Batch and dispatch concrete according to customer specifications
  • Manage stocks of raw materials effectively
  • Ensure safety, health, environmental, and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met
  • Deliver exceptional customer service

Requirements:

  • Experience as a supervisor in the construction materials industry
  • Forklift and Front-End Loader licenses
  • Able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
