Job Title

Support Worker Role Overview

Assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs clients with activities of daily living and provide services such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite Care, Transport, Meal Preparation, Medication Administration and Personal Care at their home and in the community.

About The Role

As a Support Worker your primary responsibility will be to deliver person-centred care to clients who require assistance with everyday tasks. You will work collaboratively with other support workers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of quality care that meets the individual needs and preferences of each client.

You will also have the opportunity to develop new skills and expertise through training and development pathways, and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that enhance the quality of care provided.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desired)
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence, comprehensively insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
  • Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phone, email and internet
