Professional Caregiver

A professional caregiver role is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at John Hunter Hospital in the Same Day / Day of Surgery Unit.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for medical and surgical procedures with attention to detail and compassion.
- They will also support patients when discharging home safely, ensuring they have the necessary care and resources.
- The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing strong communication skills and building positive connections with colleagues and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized care plans that cater to each patient's unique needs in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide timely interventions to address emerging issues.
- Manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
About You:
- As a compassionate and empathetic nurse, you value teamwork and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues are essential.
- Previous surgical experience is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn and grow is crucial.
Requirements:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
