Production Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Support Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) operations as a Production Coordinator, working closely with the Australian Defence Force. This role requires administrative support for tradespersons, ordering and receipting repair parts, and contributing to collaborative innovation initiatives.

Main duties include:

  • Providing administrative assistance to tradespersons in ensuring effective work order management practices
  • Assisting with procurement and receipt of repair parts to meet operational needs
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to enhance maintenance processes
  • Utilizing Commonwealth managed systems for tasks such as work order time entries and ordering/receipting repair parts
  • Supporting planning and scheduling of maintenance activities
  • Conducting office administration tasks
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on job calling and out procedures

Required skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated experience in administration functions and workflow management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using databases and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with workshop environments and safety protocols (highly desirable)
  • Able to accurately manage inventory and maintain records of spare parts
  • Competent in reading and interpreting orders and instructions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Additional requirements include being an Australian Citizen and possessing a current Defence clearance.
