Procurement Officer Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement specialist to administer purchasing and expedient provision of required goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute transactional purchasing activities according to established company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely solutions.
  • Create and manage Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders based on department requirements, ensuring timely approvals and processing.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding quotations, orders, deliveries and corrective actions around delivery issues and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  • Contribute to the improvement of purchasing processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar administrative position.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer applications - Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent data entry and management skills.
  • Superior customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Formal Qualification in Business and Administration is highly regarded.
