Procurement Specialist

Are you an expert in sourcing materials and supplies? Do you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to negotiate with vendors?

The Procurement Specialist role is responsible for procuring equipment, materials, and supplies in accordance with established purchasing guidelines and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange the purchase and delivery of materials, services, and supplies as identified by approved purchase requisitions.
  • Place purchase orders with vendors, follow up, and expedite as needed to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  • Assist in identifying contract opportunities for materials and services.
  • Control costs through economies of scale and innovative purchasing techniques.
  • Administer contracts for goods, services, and projects.
  • Resolve purchasing-related issues for vendors and employees.
  • Conduct vendor audits and assess performance relative to company needs.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot purchasing and vendor-related issues.
  • Manage disposal of company assets in coordination with the Accounting Department.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or College diploma in a related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient with electronic purchasing systems, ideally SAP.
  • Strong grasp of technical components and ability to interpret engineering and maintenance specifications.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
