About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our world-class culinary team at a prestigious luxury island resort. As a Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to design and execute a diverse range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring every dish is a work of art.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of exquisite desserts and pastries, collaborating with the Head Chef to develop innovative menu items.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new pastry techniques and recipes to enhance the resort's culinary offerings.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure a high level of skill and expertise.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in pastry and dessert preparation within luxury or high-end establishments.
  • Strong artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
  • Proficiency in a variety of pastry techniques, including bread, chocolate, and sugar work.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
