First Aid Officer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Health and Wellbeing Team as a First Aid Officer. The role involves providing first aid support to students and staff, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the school community, collaborating with teachers and other health professionals to promote student wellbeing, and developing and implementing first aid policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of First Aid Support: Provide immediate care and assistance to students and staff in case of accidents or injuries.
  • Maintenance of Safe Environment: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all members of the school community by identifying potential hazards and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, other health professionals, and school administrators to promote student wellbeing and develop effective strategies for managing student health.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement first aid policies and procedures that meet industry standards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications and experience in first aid and healthcare, including certifications in CPR, first aid, and emergency management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrate leadership skills and take initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that benefit the school community.
Working Environment:

The First Aid Officer will be based at St George Christian School, a co-educational independent inter-denominational school with campuses in various locations. The school offers excellent facilities and programs supporting students' personal growth and development.
