Nursing Care Specialist

As a Clinical Nursing Care Specialist, you will provide safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). On a day-to-day basis, this position reports to the Care Manager and General Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Compile comprehensive resident histories from residents and/or family members to identify care needs.
- Maintain high-level documentation reflecting care delivery.
- Complete ACFI assessments and other clinical documentation as required.
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans.
- Assist with direct clinical care, including personal hygiene, massage therapy, pain management, and GP rounds.
- Administer medications to residents and assume responsibility for correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and Standards for Aged Care.
- Current National Police Certificate or ability to acquire.
- Understanding of government standards for aged care delivery.
- Strong clinical and documentation skills.
- Understanding of aged care accreditation process.
- Satisfy legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening.
