Psychosocial Health and Safety Lead

This is a key leadership role focused on driving the implementation of organisational mental health strategies across geographically dispersed sites.

As Psychosocial Health and Safety Lead, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and coaching to operational leaders, OHS, and HR practitioners to implement safety and wellbeing practices.

  • Drive strategic priorities into evidence-based implementation plans that align with operational realities.
  • Develop and facilitate practical training, tools, and workshops tailored to the needs of diverse clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Provide direct coaching, mentoring and technical support to ensure consistent and effective delivery of psychosocial risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with relevant functions to ensure shared approaches and messaging.
  • Support hospitals, services, and functions in collecting and analysing psychosocial risk data and workplace wellbeing metrics.

To succeed in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in psychology, occupational health and safety, organisational development, or a related field and an advanced understanding of psychosocial hazards and relevant WHS frameworks.

You will possess proven experience in implementing mental health strategies or psychosocial risk programs in large, complex organisations and demonstrated experience coaching and supporting operational leaders and OHS, and HR practitioners.

The ideal candidate will have high level communication and engagement skills, including relationship building, empathy, negotiation, and conflict management skills.

Salary: $154,196 to $171,339 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Benefits include flexible work options, additional purchased leave, and well-being programs.
