Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within healthcare teams.
You will support the development and enhancement of clinical skills among nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with Nursing Unit Managers to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical education and staff development initiatives.
Your expertise will make a lasting impact as you identify learning needs, develop and deliver education programs, and evaluate their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and enhancement of clinical skills among nursing staff within the unit
- Collaborate with Nursing Unit Managers to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical education and staff development initiatives
- Identify learning needs and develop education programs to address them
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals
Required Qualifications:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the relevant authority
- Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring, and preceptorship
- Commitment to working with managers to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice
