Job Title: Training Coordinator – Drill and Blast

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Coordinator to join our team in the role of Drill and Blast. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering training programs that ensure safety, efficiency, and best practice in drilling operations.

  • This position requires a strong background in leadership and management, with experience in developing and delivering training programs that meet operational and safety standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in assessing competency of drill rig operators and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver training programs that ensure safety, efficiency, and best practice in drilling operations.
  2. Assess competency of drill rig operators and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  3. Collaborate effectively with teams across multiple cultures and geographic locations.
  4. Provide feedback and ongoing support to personnel to drive continuous improvement in performance.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drill & blast practices, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or above.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the open pits drilling and blast function.
  • Strong ability to work in remote mining locations and across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Previous experience in a training and assessment role is highly regarded.
