Position Overview
The role of a Garden Maintenance Officer is crucial in ensuring that our outdoor environments are well-kept and inviting. You will be responsible for various gardening tasks that enhance the aesthetic appeal and safety of our clients' properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client confidentiality and respect their preferences while providing outstanding gardening services.
- Monitor and report any health or environmental issues to the Client Relationship Coordinator.
- Perform essential gardening activities such as mowing, weeding, pruning, and mulching, as well as tidying up overgrown areas.
- Carry out window and gutter cleaning (single-storey only), sweep pathways, and remove cobwebs.
- Assist with minor household tasks, including changing batteries in smoke alarms and replacing light bulbs.
- Collaborate with team members on landscaping initiatives.
- Identify and report safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly.
- Commit to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Engage effectively with clients to understand their needs and concerns.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, particularly to elderly or vulnerable individuals.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in gardening or landscaping.
- Preferred qualifications in horticulture, though not mandatory.
- Possession of a current NSW driver's license.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively and solve problems efficiently.
- Demonstrate empathy towards vulnerable community members.
- Encourage a collaborative team environment.
