About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Actuarial team at Australian Retirement Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and management to the Actuarial team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality actuarial services to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the Actuarial team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Pricing and Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of pricing and financial management, including experience analysis, insurance policy liability valuations, and maintaining our regulatory and target capital positions.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate complex actuarial models and analysis results to stakeholders at all levels within the organization and to external parties.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Board Policies and relevant governance frameworks, including the accurate and timely delivery of quarterly and annual APRA regulatory reports.
  • Thought Leadership and Innovation: Provide thought leadership and drive innovation into the establishment of and adherence to pricing and valuation policy, methodology, assumptions, and models that support the Insurance product.
About You

We're looking for a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager with a strong background in actuarial science and leadership. You will have:

Significant experience in a senior actuarial role within the Life Insurance industry, including risk assessment and actuarial modeling.Excellent analytical skills to make data-driven decisions.Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Proven leadership skills in a large, complex APRA regulated organizational setting.Detailed knowledge of the Group Life Insurance market, with a strong understanding of the legal frameworks surrounding contracts, policies, and the confidentiality of personal and/or medical information.About Us
