Healthcare Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to join our team in NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analysing clinical data to support service monitoring, evaluation, and improvement in clinical quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, managing, and analysing clinical data to support service monitoring, evaluation, and improvement in clinical quality outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing training and support to clinicians and staff on data systems and processes.
  • Leading data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with privacy standards, and driving continuous improvement in data management and reporting.

About the Role:

The Agency for Clinical Innovation leads innovation in clinical care across NSW by bringing clinicians, patients, and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will provide expertise in data and clinical quality registries, collaborating with ACI networks, the Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts (LHDs), Specialty Health Networks (SHNs), hospitals, and clinicians to drive clinical quality outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate clinical data registration, developing and maintaining data registries, user guides, and data dictionaries, and supporting data governance, security, and compliance.

You will perform data pre-processing, identify anomalies, and support clinical decision making by responding to queries at local and state-wide levels. Additionally, you will conduct advanced analyses, generate reports, and offer data expertise to support innovations and research in healthcare.

This role may require occasional travel across NSW, including rural and metropolitan areas, for site visits with occasional overnight stays.
